Rationale and treatment approach in caries management - followed by a panel discussion
01:45

"If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail." -Benjamin Franklin

Does minimally invasive dentistry mean doing less dentistry, or is it possible for it to drive our practice into the future offering more modern, conservative dentistry? Digital solutions, intraoral scanning, and modern materials mean we are now able to deliver dentistry with greater levels of predictability and quality outcomes without biological sacrifice.

Dr Rohit Chaturvedi (Australia) will share the latest techniques in minimally invasive procedures for caries management, followed by a panel discussion joined by Dr Cordia Lam (Hong Kong) & Dr Alistair Graham (Australia) on digital tools that aid early caries detection and beyond.

Key learning objectives

  1. The role of intraoral scanning in minimally invasive dentistry.
  2. Minimal preparation in indirect restorations.
  3. Considerations and application in smile design.
  4. Caries management options including “no drill dentistry”.

Panel discussions

  • The role of intraoral scanning in the context of patient wellness and communication.
  • Practical applications of iTero™ NIRI technology (Near Infra-Red Imaging).
  • Patient conversion through effective communication.
